WHO WE ARE.
The Company “AZZURRO S.R.L.” of Mondovi is metal-mechanical industry that has been in business for more than 20 years, covers an area of 12,000 square meters, employs 160 workers and has numerous state-of-the-art equipment suitable for steel processing.
The company is a business partner and supplier to major multinational companies.
PINZO was born from the need – expressed by operators in the sector – to innovate and develop the activity of laying self-locking paving that has always been carried out
fully by hand so as to make it less burdensome and disabling.
From these premises, about 3 years ago, the first prototype was made, over these years the equipment has been tested, developed and improved leading, last year to the patent registration and trademark filing.
The PinZo, designed by Azzurro, is an example of the fusion of design and functionality, specifically designed for the specific needs of self-locking installation. Its main function is the ability to firmly grasp multiple rows of blocks, supporting a significant load of up to 200 kg. It is also compatible with pallets up to 120 cm wide, making it versatile for various project scales.
A key aspect of its design is the even distribution of pressure exerted on the blocks. This minimizes the risk of damaging blocks during handling, a frequent challenge with manual methods. By evenly distributing pressure, the gripper significantly reduces the likelihood of floors breaking or chipping, thereby preserving their integrity and appearance. This attribute not only improves the quality of the installation process, but also contributes to the longevity and aesthetic appeal of the finished flooring.
The advantages and benefits found in using “PINZO” can be, briefly,
listed below:
- Mechanized handling of the self-locking tiles with elimination of the risk of damage to them and simultaneous preservation of the arrangement of the material as per the pallet to facilitate their selection for laying;
- Work optimization and increased productivity;
- Prevention of occupational injuries and diseases;
- Lowering the cost of personnel and remedying the current shortage of the same;
- ability to move, on any type of soil and construction site, any model and size of self-locking pavement on the market.
The “PINZO” equipment, being light in weight as well as equipped with white non-marking tracks, allows it to operate directly over the pavement being laid without sinking and/or dislodging the pavers.
It is, moreover, easily transportable and does not require any qualification or certification for its use.
Efficiency in laying
The transport of blocks, a particularly strenuous task in paving projects, is redefined by Azure's technology. By mechanizing the transfer of blocks from the pallet to the installation point, the system greatly reduces the labor and time traditionally spent on this process. This approach not only alleviates the physical strain of manual loading and potential damage to floors, but also optimizes site preparation, leading to significant cost and labor savings.
Economic Analysis
From an economic point of view, the initial cost of the equipment is offset by several factors: reduced labor costs due to the need for fewer operators, decreased time spent on installation, and potential reduction in costs related to occupational injuries. In addition, increased installation speed allows contractors to complete more projects in a shorter period, improving profitability. This tool offers an exceptional return on investment, often paying for itself within only six months.
Benefits in terms of Work and Ergonomics
From a work perspective, PinZo offers significant ergonomic benefits by mechanizing the most strenuous aspects of work. Reducing the physical exertion associated with manual floor handling, such as lifting and carrying, often reduces fatigue and musculoskeletal disorders among operators.
Economic Analysis
Azure's PinZo, the result of a unique collaboration between experts in metal carpentry, manufacturers of a wide range of high-tech products for the construction industry, and experienced installers of self-locking paving, is the first of its kind on the market and differs from traditional, slower and less efficient methods. By improving the installation process through increased speed, efficiency and reduced labor effort, Azure and ROTAIR have set a new standard in this area.
